Growing Spring Crocus
Spring or autumn corm, depending on species. Deciduous. About 80 species. Stands 3–6 in. (75–150 mm) tall. Grasslike, short, deep green leaves.

Autumn or late winter–early spring, depending on species. Purple, white, yellow, striped. Solitary cup-shaped, sometimes fragrant flowers, 1‑1/2–3‑in. (38–75‑mm) long, appear stemless.
