Growing Water Pennywort
Several cultivars of low, spreading or trailing, mostly aquatic, deciduous perennial herbs, 2–6 in. (50–150 mm) tall, 1–5 ft. (30–150 cm) wide. Shiny or hairy, green, nasturtium-like, oval leaves, 2 in. (50 mm) wide.

Best Climates
Tender. Plant as annual, zones 3–8; ground hardy, zones 9–10.
Soil Type and Fertility
Wet to moist, well-drained, sandy soil or, in water features, shallow-depth marginal or shoreline sites. Fertility: Average. 6.0–7.0 pH.
Where and How to Plant
Spring in full sun to full shade, 4 in. (10 cm) apart, or submerged 1 in. (25 mm).
Proper Care
Very easy. Keep evenly moist. Fertilize annually in spring. Propagate by cuttings, division, layering, seed.
