Growing Beautybush
A single-species genus of fast-growing, arching, deciduous, herbaceous shrubs, to 15 ft. (4.5 m) tall and wide, with gray green, oval leaves, to 3 in. (75 mm) long, sometimes turning red in autumn, and with brown, flaking bark.
Beautybush is native to China.

Showy, 5-petaled, pink flowers, to 1/2-in. (12-mm) long, with bristly, yellow centers, in dense clusters, in late spring, form distinctive, bristly, brown fruit in summer. Flowers on second-year wood.
