Growing Glory Bush
Several cultivars of fast-growing, open, branching, narrow, evergreen shrubs, 10–15 ft. (3–4.5 m) tall and 5–10 ft. (1.5–3 m) wide, with fuzzy or smooth, deep green, oval, pointed, veined leaves, 2–4 in. (50–100 mm) long, with brown, cream, red edges or variegation, on hairy stalks.

Many cobalt purple, violet, 5-petaled flowers, 1–3 in. (25–75 mm) wide, in spring–autumn, form capsulelike pods, to 1/2‑in. (12‑mm) wide, containing seed, in autumn.
