Growing Ti Plant
Many cultivars of medium-growing, erect, columnar, palmlike, rhizomatous, evergreen shrubs, to 15 ft. (4.5 m) tall and 5 ft. (1.5 m) wide, with radiating, shiny, green, red, white, yellow or striped, variegated, lance-shaped, narrow, pointed leaves, to 3 ft. (90 cm) long.

Many tiny, fragrant, purple, red, white, yellow flowers in winter, in branching clusters, to 1 ft. (30 cm) long, form round, red berries, to 1/4-in. (6-mm) wide, in spring.

Soil Type and Fertility
Moist, well-drained, sandy humus or, in water features, shoreline sites. Fertility: Rich–average. 6.5–7.0 pH.
