Growing Lily-of-the-Incas
Summer rhizome or tuberous root. Deciduous. About 50 species. Stands 18–48 in. (45–120 cm) tall. Lance-shaped, short green leaves on stems.

Late spring–summer. Purple, red, white, yellow, bicolored. Multiple flared, trumpet-shaped, often fragrant, long-lasting flowers, to 2 in. (50 mm) wide, in radiating clusters.
