Growing Water Hyssop
A widely distributed species of branching, mat-like or trailing semiaquatic perennial herbs, 12 in. (30 cm) tall and up to 3 ft. (90 cm) wide. Opposite, light green, round or oval, pointed, finely toothed, veined, fragrant leaves, to 3/4 in. (19 mm) long.

Blooms
Many blue, pink, white, 5-petaled, rounded flowers, to 1/2–in. (12–mm) wide on short and narrow pedicils (stems), in late-spring, summer.

Semi-hardy or tender. Zones 8–11.
Soil Type and Fertility
Moist to damp, sandy soil. Best when soil is amended with organic compost. Fertility: Average. 5.0–7.5 pH.
Where and How to Plant
Spring in full to filtered sun, 1 ft. (30 cm) apart, after soil warms.
Proper Care
Easy. Keep evenly moist; allow soil surface to dry between waterings.
