Growing Perennial Forget-Me-Not
Many cultivars of low, mounding, stoloniferous, rhizomatous, deciduous perennial herbs, 1–3 ft. (30–90 cm) tall. Shiny, bright green, oval to lance-shaped, ribbed leaves, to 2 in. (50 mm) long.
Dwarf cultivars available.

Planting and Care Guide
Blooms
Many blue, open flowers, 1/4–1/2‑in. (6–12‑mm) wide, with central eyes of pink, white, yellow, in clusters to 2 in. (50 mm) wide, in early summer.
Best Climates
Hardy. Self-seeding. Plant as annual, zones 2–4; ground hardy, zones 5–10.
Soil Type and Fertility
Wet to moist, clayey soil or, in water features, shallow-depth marginal or shoreline sites. Fertility: Average. 6.0–8.0 pH.
Where and How to Plant
Late spring in full sun to full shade, 1–2 ft. (30–60 cm) apart.
Proper Care
Easy. Keep evenly moist. Fertilize monthly until flower buds form. Propagate by cuttings, division, seed.
About This Plant
Good choice for accents, beds, borders, edgings, foregrounds, ground covers in natural, shade, woodland gardens or water feature shorelines. Invasive. Deer, pest, and disease resistant.
